Conservation Efforts and Social Good in Southern Utah

Southern Utah encompasses a vast terrain of wilderness-quality land. Mighty geological formations, red rock, alpine prairies, forests, rivers, and deserts can all be found in this expansive stretch of iconic scenery. It is home to a rich history of indigenous peoples and diverse wildlife species.

The Mighty 5 National Parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches) and three national monuments have all dedicated space to preserving these natural habitats, resources, and historical treasures. Continuing the conversation around conservation and respectful enjoyment of Southern Utah is a critical part of residing in and visiting the area.

Social good and conservation are also a large part of Zennest’s mission. We believe in the importance of protection and restoration of the natural environment, especially with regard to water conservation and environmental awareness. To fully enjoy Utah and all of its wonders means keeping nature, well… nature.

Please join us in supporting these organizations that are working to protect Southern Utah’s wilderness and resources:

Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance

The Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) has been an advocate and champion of Utah’s wilderness-quality lands since 1983 with a mission to protect the bedrock for the enjoyment of all future generations, both human and non-human alike. IMG_0066-2-1024x768

SUWA promotes local and national recognition of the region’s unique wilderness character through research and public education; supports both administrative and legislative initiatives to permanently protect the Colorado Plateau wild places within the National Wilderness Preservation System, or by other protective designations where appropriate; builds support for such initiatives on both the local and national level, and provides leadership within the conservation movement through uncompromising advocacy for wilderness preservation.
